Lower cost. Priceed these at a number of different Aviation stores, and all were higher priced. This is perfect for experimental aircraft where weight and size is at a premium. Useful duration of the propellant is only one second less than the $250 version and also Halon is much preferred over the cheaper box store versions. The holder provided several different mounting options and paint and quality of assembly seems to be above average which is a minor thing but for me means a lot. Hope I never have to use it but it looks like quality from the outside.

Expensive but worth it. If you need a fire extinguisher for your classic car, this is the type to get. If you use the other dry chemical type, it will just ruin your car. You might as well let it burn to the ground.
