Not for use around salt water. This bracket would be great for non-marine environments. It’s sturdy, strong, and has several mounting hole options. My extinguisher is about 5.25” in diameter, and is labeled as weighing 17 lbs.Unfortunately, I bought it for use on the deck of my pontoon boat (large commercial boat, 35’ x 10’). With the splash and spray I get from salt water, it has degraded to the point of needing replacement in 1 years time. The bulk of the mount is fine, but the latch and hasp are rusted and fatigued from operation.I’m certain it will work well for a non-Saltwater environment.
