Super Cool, One drawback. Used this for a wedding and for some nighttime time lapse and long exposure where a perfectly stable tripod was necessary. Overall it's very nice, the fluid head is amazing.Adjustment of the drag amount is smooth and the overall feel of the axis' are very nice. Smooth pans and tilts are easy. Locking the tripod head in a certain orientation is also easy.The leg mechanism is a cool design. One single latch per leg locks and unlocks all sections of that leg. This does save time and also my back because i don't have to bend down to unlock legs when changing spots during a shoot.The main flaw i saw was simply with durability and longevity. This is a pricey tripod and both the leg hinges and lock levers are plastic. I really wish these were aluminum at this price point. When repeatedly locking and unlocking i felt some flexion in the lock levers. This did not give me confidence that this will hold up to repeated professional use. The leg hinges where the carbon attaches to the tripod is also plastic and i could see this getting a crack. Aluminum would not have added any significant weight and would have made this bullet proof for professional use and they sell much cheaper tripods that have metal joints in these areas. so -1 star for using plastic here

It's good for the price but a few annoying things. Good weight, but not enough tension/counterbalance on fluid head for pan or tilt. I was just using a rigged up C70 which is only about 15lbs.The tie down for the bowl is also insanely long, so you can't use it with a riser on a dana dolly which is super frustrating if you use long pipes.Other than those things it's pretty good, but idk if it's a good long term investment honestly.

Great investment. I love this tripod. This is an upgrade from the photo tripod I used on my video gigs.

Worth the extra over the small rig AD120. Fantastic fluid head. Wish there was more aluminum in the sticks construction, but the head is lovely. Holds a rigged out fx3 with v mount, audio interface and zoom lens exactly where you put it. Pam and tilt resistance could be tighter, but it’s buttery smooth. The single latch pre leg and two spreaders are super efficient. Again wish the spreaders were something other than plastic, but for 639 it’s a nice tripod. The head is 500 alone, so that’s most of the units cost.
